I'm typing this on an OP, but that's only because in that year they produced a flagship at like ½ the price of competitors (+ a free upper mid-tier on a certain carrier)- but that's it. Especially the behemoths- only they have the resources for great software & financial partnerships (even though they may go a year or two where their products are even worse than small players'). We need all the players & their membership perks because they each go thru cycles where their services\software\hardware are much the best or worst.
